I've been freelancing in web design and sales for many years. When I started university I also set up my own virtual marketing and business development company through which I help market Sole Traders, Start ups and SMEs. The concept behind virtual services such as web marketing, direct marketing, virtual accounting and administration is to localise virtual services. Currently a lot of businesses outsource these jobs to international contractors to save costs. I knew that with the technology and skills I have developed I could give people a much cheaper prices than that, and a lot higher quality of services. The fact that I am based in London and am able to travel anywhere outside of London for a meeting, makes it an attractive aspect for clients to give jobs to me.
I am also passionate about the history of humanitarian laws and the contemporary developments in human rights globally. I have traveled extensively for conferences and wish to learn more about the role of NGOs and cultural organisations such as museums and archives in influencing social identities. Having worked in a law firm and a human rights commission in the recent years, I have gained a valuable amount of professional, corporate skills for working in an office and research based environment. I am used to handling very fragile documents and I'm an efficient user of multimedia sources for my research. If there is any need to learn new job skills, I'm very quick at learning as I have always focused on working in a research-based environment, where my archiving and document handling, organisation and other skills can always come in handy.
