From working I have received admin skills and I am competent at using the computer. Various tasks included organising the purchasing and delivery of products, placing orders and retaining supplier relationships, viewing and analysing data, kept orders/records up to date, managed the storeroom and files by keeping everything in order, dealt with fabric and sample orders, replied to letters and emails. Also I have attended and assisted within fit sessions, providing design comments and ensuring the garment fits. I have a good telephone manner and have had experience liaising with customers, suppliers and the general public via the phone as well as in person. Therefore I feel that I could provide excellent administrative support as well as analysing the critical path, reviewing and acting on changes within the buying pattern.
I have carried out many competitive shop reports in written and powerpoint format as well as assisting with forecasting/emerging trends by finding inspiration. I enjoy keeping my knowledge of trends up to date and looking for the development of new styles. I have experience of visiting exhibitions and trade shows such as Premier Vision. Also by travelling extensively to the fashion capitals London and Paris as well as once to Singapore and Thailand, it has provided experience within different fashion cultures, emerging styles and markets.
I have worked on many projects that are set to tight deadlines which has developed excellent time management skills. I enjoy organising my time effectively, so that I can juggle more than one thing at a time. During my work I have participated in many team projects, building and reflecting upon different opinions and ideas, as well as working individually. I really enjoy working as a team and from working with a variety of people in the past I feel I have developed good interpersonal and communicational skills.
