I graduated in 2010, from Birmingham City University with 2.1 degree in English Literature and English Language with Honours. I also have 4 A levels, in Law, English Literature, Psychology and Social studies, ranging in grade C-E. I also have an As Level in Film studies grade B.
I believe I am a kind, helpful person, with a strong personality, which adheres to me to many of my peers. I have worked part-time in the retail sector for five years now, ranging from cashier to weekend supervisor.
I feel that my educational and work background, have helped me to gain many skills, which will benifit me in future employment.
These skills include; leadership qualities, helpfulness, mitigating problems, working as part of a team, communication skills and general skills in handling all types of customers in a proffessional manner.
I am an eager learner, picking up information and skills quickly. Having only finished university in the past month (May 2010) I am already working my way through a learn at home course which is teaching me the skills needed to be a proof reader and a copy editor.
My hobbies include; reading a wide range of fiction and nonfiction books, listening to music, shopping, watchning films and hanging out with friends. I also play the guitar and a little keyboard.
I am interested in any job that uses my degree, or has a strong link to my interests. My dream job would be in the publishing sector, working as an editor. I also write reviews of books and films in my spare time.
