My name is Stephen Marks and I am currently attending Bournemouth University where I study Mental Health Nursing.

In addition to this, I also hold a degree in Psychology which I obtained from the University of Glasgow. I finished this degree with a 2.1 grade. A compulsory part of this course was a year long course in statistics, meaning I have excellent research and numerical skills. Combined with my current University attendance, I have 5 years experience of studying in a demanding environment.

I also work part time for an internet based research company. This involves researching the answers to questions our customers send us in a timely and accurate fashion. I have been in this role since October 2010 and I believe it has honed my research skills to a high level. This role also requires that I occasionally contribute blogs and articles to the company website, which I enjoy as I am both an articulate and expressive writer.

I am a friendly, approachable and sensitive person. This is demonstrated through the paid employment I also undertake through the University. I am a Student Ambassador which involves speaking to potential students and their parents about University life. I am also a Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leader: this means I am responsible for teaching vital study and revision techniques to an entire class of students in the year below me.

I have previously worked in an office environment for a period totalling 3 years. I believe this demonstrates my computer literacy as I have substantial experience of using word processors, spreadsheets as well as quick and accurate data entry and proofreading skills.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, cycling, spending time with my friends and watching films.
