My name is Matt Howell and I am currently a student at Doncaster University Centre, at High Melton. I have just currently finished my Foundation Degree (FdA) in Animation and Games Art and I am currently moving on to the BA Hons ‘Top up’ course. During the time I was on the FdA course. I have gained skills within Digital Illustration and 3D software. I have developed my skills within Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Affects and Autodesk Maya as well as being introduced into Coral Painter. I under pin my digital work with traditional drawing skills.

During my second year of this course, I had to look deep into what career I wish to go into, which is ‘Character Design and Comic Art’. The reason for choosing this is that I enjoy the cartoon industry; whether it is Lego, Disney or even classic cartoons such as Sonic or The Legend of Zelda. The artists that I admire are Rolf Haris, Ralph Mcquarrie and Hergé.
