I’m a 19 year old student from Suffolk, East Anglia. I have completed my first year at Keele University studying Philosophy and Criminology and achieved a 2.1 for the year. I thoroughly enjoy many sports including rowing, hockey, squash, swimming and football. Since joining university I have joined the university rowing team and have been an active member in the club. I have an active interest in music and have achieved grade five on the trumpet as well as attending my county orchestra for several years whilst I was in school. I also have a love for photography which is a hobby I peruse in my spare time, I have entered my photographs into local competitions and won awards. I achieve three A levels whilst in school. I receive a B in Philosophy & Ethics as well as a C in both Geography and Design Technology. I achieve 13 GCSEs whilst in school all of which were grade C and above, this included an A grade in both Information communication technology (ICT) and textiles. During my time in 6th form I raised £1600 in order to participate in a conservation trip to Cuba which I took part in, in the summer of 2010. The conservation project is run by a recognized charity called Operation Wallacea. The trip lasted 16 days and whilst there I helped with many aspects of the conservation work taking place on an island on the cost of Cuba.
